President John Mills is dead. He died on Tuesday the 24th of July 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital at 1415 GMT . It was confirmed by the Chief of Staff Martey Newman.

The Member of Parliament for Wulensi Alhaji Saani Idi has passed away after battling with an illness for sometime now.

The independent candidate died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where according to reports, he was pronounced dead on Friday.

The MP was said to be growing lean and frail due to the illness and was admitted at the nation's premier hospital.
